She loved helping with Vacation Bible School because it gave her an opportunity to teach children about Jesus and she loved to help them create art projects. Private family services will be held for Linda Diane Bell, 70, of Huntsville. Mrs. Bell will be laid to rest at Union Springs Cemetery in Corrigan.

Their honeybee business was their next adventure, which they were very successful at. They moved back to Livingston for their Golden Years to spend time and enjoy family where they continued to do part time beekeeping until Mr. Dillon passed in 2011. After his death, she continued on as the pianist for Chesswood Baptist Church where rain, snow, sleet, or shine would not stop her from playing. She was the beloved matriarch of her family and molded the lives of her granddaughters and taught them to walk with Christ.

Ophelia worked for Southwestern Bell as a telephone operator for nearly two decades, transferring from Huntsville to Beaumont, Texas when she and Clayton moved in 1950. In 1959 Ophelia and Clayton moved from Beaumont to Livingston, Texas, where they spent the remainder of their years. Shortly after moving to Livingston, Ophelia and Clayton were blessed with their only child, Billie Jean Burleson Bohan, then later, grandchildren, Calicia, Clay, and Castyn-Billie Jean and Daniel Bohan’s children. Ophelia was quite the farmhand, she enjoyed keeping track of the cattle and documenting any changes in the herd. She was known for her sassiness, quick wit and her outrageous sense of humor.

But, the most memorable aspects of his life were his faith in his Lord and Savior, and his love for his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was devoted to his church and led music for over 20 years, taught Sunday School, served as a respected deacon, and was relied upon for the upkeep of the building and grounds. First and foremost, Sallie loved the Lord and enjoyed listening to gospel music. Family was very important to her and she loved her husband Jesse “J.D.” with all her heart.

He was a member of Onalaska United Pentecostal Church, a Veteran of the United States Army having served in WWII, 82nd Airborne, Snipper, Paratrooper where he received one purple heart medals. Gordie Hillard Robinett, born December 22, 1921 in Livingston, Texas, passed away on March 28, 2020 in Livingston, Texas at the age of 98 years. Richard Reilly Collins, 96, of Deer Park, TX, passed away on March 29, 2020.

One of his greatest pleasures in life was community service. Roy Kenneth Richardson, born January 25, 1936 in Livingston, Texas, passed away on May 25, 2020 in Livingston, Texas at the age of 84 years. Gerald “Jerry” Walker, born January 25,1932 in Tifton, Ga to Nelson and Esther passed away on Wednesday July 8, 2020 at the age of 88.

He is Preceded in death by his Wife Evie Walker, parents Nelson & Esther Walker, Brothers Braxton Walker, Lawrence Walker, Sister Carlene Luallen, Daughter Lyndal Stewart and granddaughter, Releah Shaver McCauley. Bernice Ann Daughtry, 80, of Livingston Texas was born December 17, 1939 in Orange, Texas to parents, Bernice Daughtry and Ollie Daughtry and passed away July 6, 2020 in Livingston, Texas.

Her favorite past time was being outdoors working with her flowers. She also enjoyed baking cakes and pies for her neighbors. Her best dish of all was “Mexican cornbread” and was always baked with lots of love as the main ingredient. He was born on August 31, 1957, in Livingston, Texas to Clarence Lee and Sue Ethel Allen. Clarence married the love of his life Melody ReJayne Pierce.

Daddy would usually express his opinion at the end of his story and what lesson he had learned. He wanted to share his experiences especially if it helped somebody else who would listen. She was born to Billie and Michael Miller on February 26, 1975 and resided in Trinity, Texas, with her husband and three children. Mr. Trenton David Wallace, 62, of Livingston, Texas was born February 23, 1958 in Portland, Texas and adopted at birth to parents, Gene Wallace and Marlene Wallace, and rode his motorcycle to the pearly gates April 21, 2020 in Houston, Texas. Betty was born October 15, 1934 in Livingston, Texas to Faye Thompson Burchfield and Thomas Layton Burchfield. After graduating from high school in Bay City, Betty attended Sam Houston University and graduated from the University of Houston.
Lois had a heart of gold when it came to helping others. She was a caregiver for many years, sitting with people at the hospitals and welcoming them into her home when they had no other place to go. Her sweet smile and laugh will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Lincoln Buckley Smith, 85, of Point Blank, Texas was born January 9, 1935 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to parents, Alfred Smith and Catharine Smith and passed away on July 17, 2020 in Livingston, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband Donnis Bergman and son, Dan Bergman. A man of love, first and foremost for his Lord and Shepherd, the King of Kings, and the one and only true living God.
Jack is preceded in death by his stepfather, Grady Brown; grandparents Jack & Patsy Gregory, Henry & Georgia Overstreet. Preceded in death by father, Roland Johnson SR.; brother, Glenn Johnson; grandparents Pete & Hester Johnson, R.B. Bill will be sorely missed for his cooking, his sense of humor, his laugh, his mentorship, and his love of all those around him. Bill was always willing to cook for and to serve the people of his community, and always with a jovial attitude and a smile.
